Overview

A property in Valzotra represents a single short-term rental unit. All your expenses, revenue, work logs, mileage, checklists, and guest data are organized under a property. You need at least one property before you can start tracking anything.

How it works

  1. Open the dashboard and click Add Property in the sidebar or on the Today page.
  2. Enter the required fields: property name and street address (including city, state, and ZIP).
  3. Optionally add a description and upload a cover photo.
  4. Click Create Property to save.
  5. After creation, the onboarding wizard launches to help you set up your AI-generated property guide.

The property name is what you and your team see in the dashboard. The address is used for mileage calculations and appears on compliance records. Both can be edited later.

Limits & requirements

  • Comply plan ($19/mo): 1 active property.
  • Host plan ($34/mo): 1 active property.
  • Portfolio plan ($49/mo): 2 active properties.
  • Property Pack add-on ($29/mo, Portfolio only): Each pack adds 2 more active properties and 4 additional team members.
  • If you have reached your plan's property limit, you must upgrade your plan, add a Property Pack, or archive an existing property before you can create a new one.
  • Archived properties do not count toward your limit.

FAQ

What fields are required to create a property? You need a property name and a full street address. Everything else — description, photo, guide content — can be added later.

Can I rename a property after creating it? Yes. Go to the property's settings page and update the name, address, or any other field at any time. See Editing Property Details.

What happens when I hit my property limit? Valzotra prevents you from creating a new property until you free up a slot. You can upgrade your plan, purchase a Property Pack (Portfolio only), or archive a property you no longer need.

Does the AI guide generate automatically? After you create the property, the onboarding wizard walks you through a few questions. Valzotra uses your answers to generate an initial property guide. See Onboarding & AI Guide for details.
