Overview

Most of your guests get the same parking, house rules, and check-out instructions. But every now and then a single stay needs a different version — a guest brings a boat trailer and needs a different parking spot, or you want to relax quiet hours for a wedding party. Per-stay overrides let you customize a single property-guide section for one reservation without touching the property default.

The original property-guide content stays exactly as it was. When the stay ends, you can clear the override or leave it in place for history.

How it works

  1. Open the reservation.
  2. Go to the Access tab. Below the access pack you'll see Per-stay guide overrides.
  3. Each property-guide section is listed with its current content (default or overridden).
  4. Click Override to write a one-off version, or Clear override to revert to the property default.

Overrides can change either the content of a section or its visibility for this single stay (hiding the parking card for a guest who isn't driving, for example).

Behavior

  • Overrides only affect the My Stay tab and Guide tab for the chosen reservation.
  • The property-guide editor still shows the property default. To change content for every future stay, edit the property guide directly.
  • An override's content is independent: editing the property default later will not change a stay-specific override unless you clear the override first.
  • Clearing an override is instant. There is no draft/publish flow.

Limits & requirements

  • Available on every plan.
  • Only sections that already exist on the property guide can be overridden. Add the section to the property first, then override it for the stay.
  • Hosts and tenant admins can manage overrides. Members with the manager property role on the property can also edit overrides; cleaners cannot.

FAQ

Will the guest know they're seeing an override?
No. Overrides render exactly like the property default — same card, same styling. The override label only appears in the host UI.

Can I bulk-apply an override to several reservations?
Not in v1. Overrides are per-reservation. If the same change applies broadly, edit the property guide.

What happens to overrides after the stay ends?
They stay attached to the reservation for history. Reservation deletes cascade to the overrides; clearing one is also a single click.
