Overview
This is the fastest path from sign-up to a working Valzotra setup. Follow these five steps and you will have a property configured, a checklist ready for your next turnover, and your team invited — all in under 15 minutes.
How it works
Step 1: Sign up and confirm your email
- Go to valzotra.com and click Sign up.
- Enter your email, create a password, and submit.
- Open the confirmation email and click the verification link.
- Set your name and timezone in your profile when prompted.
You start with a 14-day free trial that includes all Host plan features. No credit card required.
Step 2: Add your first property
- From the Properties page, click Add property.
- Enter the property name and address.
- Walk through the setup wizard. Valzotra can generate an arrival guide for your guests using AI if you provide basic details about the property (parking, Wi-Fi, check-in instructions).
- Upload a thumbnail photo so the property is easy to identify throughout the app.
Your property is now the anchor for everything else — reservations, expenses, checklists, and guest communication all live under it.
Step 3: Create your first checklist template
- Go to Checklists and click Create template.
- Name the template (for example, "Turnover Checklist" or "Pre-Arrival Inspection").
- Add items for each task — cleaning, restocking, checking appliances, setting out supplies.
- Save the template.
Templates are reusable. When a reservation triggers a check-out or check-in event, Valzotra can automatically create a checklist run from your template.
Step 4: Invite your team
- Go to Team and click Invite member.
- Enter the email address of your cleaner, co-host, or assistant.
- Choose their role — admin for full access, member for property-level access.
- Assign them to specific properties if they are a member.
Your team member receives an email invitation and can sign in immediately after accepting.
Step 5: Invite a guest
- Go to Reservations and find the reservation for your upcoming guest.
- Click Invite guest and enter the guest's email address.
- The guest receives an email with a link to their guest portal, where they can view property info, the arrival guide, house rules, and message you directly.
That is it. Your property is set up, your team has access, your checklists are ready, and your guest can reach you through Valzotra.
FAQ
Do I have to complete all five steps at once? No. Steps 1 and 2 are essential. Steps 3 through 5 can happen whenever you are ready. The system works as soon as you have a property added.
What if I manage multiple properties? Repeat Step 2 for each property. The Comply and Host plans include 1 property, Portfolio includes 2, and you can add more with Property Packs on Portfolio. Each property has its own reservations, checklists, and team assignments.
Can I skip the AI-generated arrival guide? Yes. The arrival guide is optional. You can write your own, use the AI to generate a draft and edit it, or skip it entirely and share arrival details via messaging.

What happens after the trial ends? You choose a plan (Comply, Host, or Portfolio) and enter payment information. Your data is preserved regardless of which plan you pick. If you do not subscribe, your account becomes read-only until you activate a plan.
