Overview
Valzotra is organized around a sidebar navigation on desktop and a bottom navigation on mobile. Every feature is reachable within one or two clicks from the main layout. This guide walks you through the interface so you know where everything lives.
How it works
The Today page
When you sign in, you land on the Today page. This is your operational dashboard — a snapshot of what needs attention right now:
- Upcoming check-ins and check-outs
- Active checklist runs that need completion
- Recent guest messages
- Overdue tasks
The Today page updates in real time as events happen across your properties. It is the first place to check each morning.
Sidebar navigation (desktop)
The left sidebar is your primary navigation on desktop. It is organized into logical groups:
- Today — Your daily operational dashboard.
- Properties — All your properties. Click into a property to see its reservations, damage reports, tasks, and details.
- Reservations — All reservations across all properties, with filters for date range, property, and status.
- Checklists — Checklist templates and active checklist runs. Create templates here, and checklist runs appear automatically when reservations trigger them.
- Financials — A group containing Expenses, Revenue, Work Logs, and Mileage. This is where you build your tax documentation.
- Compliance — Your REPS and material participation tracker. Pulls data from work logs, expenses, mileage, and revenue.
- Team — Manage team members, send invitations, and configure property assignments.
- Settings — Account settings, billing, security (MFA), and preferences.
Top navigation
The top bar shows:
- Your name and avatar — Click to access your profile, settings, help docs, and sign out.
- Tenant switcher — If you belong to multiple organizations, switch between them here.
- Notifications — A bell icon for any pending alerts.
Mobile navigation
On smaller screens, the sidebar collapses into a bottom navigation bar with icons for the most-used sections. Tap the menu icon to access the full navigation list. All features available on desktop are also available on mobile — nothing is hidden.
Property detail view
When you click into a property from the Properties page, you enter the property detail view. This has its own sub-navigation:
- Overview — Property info, address, thumbnail, and arrival guide.
- Reservations — Reservations for this specific property.
- Damage — Damage reports and incident history.
- Tasks — Property-specific tasks and punch lists.
- Settings — Property-level settings and listing connections.
Settings page
Access Settings from the sidebar or from the avatar dropdown. The settings page includes:
- Profile — Your name, email, and password.
- Billing — Plan details, payment methods, and Property Packs.
- Security — Multi-factor authentication (MFA) enrollment.
- Preferences — Timezone and display options.
FAQ
Can I rearrange the sidebar? No. The sidebar order is fixed to keep the navigation consistent. The sections are ordered by frequency of use based on how most hosts operate.
Is there a keyboard shortcut to navigate? Not currently. Navigation is mouse and touch-based. Use your browser's tab key to move through interactive elements if you prefer keyboard navigation.
Where do I find the guest portal settings? Guest portal access is managed per-reservation. Go to Reservations, open a reservation, and use the guest invitation feature to create or manage guest access.
How do I get back to the Today page? Click Today in the sidebar on desktop, or tap the home icon in the bottom navigation on mobile. You can also click the Valzotra logo in the top-left corner.
Does Valzotra work on tablets? Yes. The layout adapts to your screen size. On tablets, you typically see the full sidebar layout in landscape mode and the mobile layout in portrait mode.
