Overview
You can cancel your Valzotra subscription at any time. When you cancel, you keep access to your account and all features through the end of your current billing period. After that, your account is paused — your data is preserved but you cannot add new records until you resubscribe.
How it works
Canceling your subscription
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Click Cancel Plan.
- Confirm the cancellation.
- Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period (the date is shown on the confirmation screen).
- After the billing period ends, your account moves to a paused state.
Cancellation is not immediate. You continue to have full access to all plan features until the period you already paid for is over.
What happens after cancellation
- Your account is paused. You can still log in and view your existing data.
- You cannot create new records (expenses, work logs, reservations, etc.) while paused.
- Your properties, records, uploads, and team configuration are preserved.
- No further charges are made to your payment method.
- If you had Property Packs, they are canceled along with your base plan.
Reactivating your account
- Log in to your paused account.
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- Choose a plan (Comply, Host, or Portfolio) and confirm.
- Your account is reactivated immediately with all your previous data intact.
You can resubscribe to the same plan or choose a different one. Your data is not affected by the time your account was paused.
Data retention
Valzotra retains your data while your account is paused. If you want your data permanently deleted instead of preserved, see Deleting Your Account.
Limits & requirements
- Only the account owner or an admin can cancel the subscription.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, not immediately.
- Annual subscriptions are not partially refunded upon cancellation — you keep access for the full year you paid for.
- Monthly subscriptions are not refunded for the remaining days in the current month.
- There is no penalty or fee for canceling.
FAQ
Will I lose my data if I cancel? No. Your data is preserved after cancellation. You can log in and view everything, but you cannot add new records until you resubscribe. If you want your data deleted, you need to delete your account separately.
Can I cancel mid-year on an annual plan? Yes. You keep access through the end of the 12-month period you paid for. The annual payment is not partially refunded because the discounted rate already reflects a lower per-month cost.
How do I reactivate after canceling? Log in, go to Settings > Billing, and choose a plan. Your account reactivates immediately with all your data intact.
Is there a cancellation fee? No. You can cancel at any time with no penalty or extra charge.
What happens to my team members when I cancel? Team members lose access to your organization when your billing period ends and the account is paused. If you reactivate, their access is restored along with their previous roles and property assignments.
