Overview

ArrivHQ adapts its interface based on each team member's role. This means a cleaner sees a focused task list while an owner sees the full portfolio dashboard. There are two layers of roles and two corresponding UX lanes.

UX lanes

Operations lane

Team members with the Cleaner or Maintenance property role see the operations layout:

  • Today shows only their assigned tasks and checklists.
  • Tasks defaults to the My Tasks filter and cannot be switched to show all tasks.
  • Navigation is reduced to the sections relevant to their work.
  • Stat gauges and portfolio-level summaries are hidden.

This lane is designed for people who need to complete assigned work without the complexity of property management.

Management lane

Team members with the Owner, Admin, or Manager role see the full management layout:

  • Today shows all reservations, tasks, and guest activity across the portfolio.
  • Tasks shows all tasks with full filtering and assignment capabilities.
  • Stat gauges sidebar with progress rings is visible.
  • The Needs Review section surfaces missed check-ins and check-outs.
  • All navigation sections are available.

Tenant roles vs property roles

Tenant roles control organization-wide access:

  • Owner -- Full access to everything. Can manage billing, delete the organization, and transfer ownership.
  • Admin -- Full access to all properties and settings. Cannot manage billing or delete the organization.
  • Member -- Access is determined entirely by their property role assignments.

Property roles control what a member can do within a specific property:

  • Manager -- Full property access including financials, team assignments, and checklist configuration.
  • Cleaner -- Operations lane. Sees assigned checklists and tasks for this property.
  • Maintenance -- Operations lane. Sees assigned maintenance checklists and tasks.
  • Bookkeeper -- Read-only access to financial records (expenses, revenue, mileage, work logs).
  • Viewer -- Read-only access to property details and reservations.

Owners and Admins bypass property roles entirely -- they have full access to every property regardless of assignment.
