Overview

You grow your team by sending email invitations from the Team settings page. Each invite includes a role assignment and, for members, optional property assignments. The invited person receives a link to join your organization.

How it works

  1. Go to Settings > Team and click Invite Member.
  2. Enter the person's email address.
  3. Select a tenant role: Admin or Member. (Only owners can invite other owners.)
  4. For members, optionally assign one or more properties and choose a property role for each (Manager, Cleaner, Bookkeeper, Maintenance, or Viewer).
  5. Click Send Invite. The person receives an email with a join link.
  6. The invite appears in your team list with a Pending status.
  7. When the person clicks the link, they either sign up for a new Valzotra account or log in with an existing one. Their membership activates automatically.

Invite links expire after 7 days. If the link expires or the person did not receive the email, you can resend the invite from the team list.

Limits & requirements

  • You must be an owner or admin to send invites.
  • Only owners can invite someone with the owner role.
  • Your team must have an available member seat. Both active members and pending invites count toward the limit.
  • Property assignments are only available for the member role. Admins and owners automatically have access to all properties.
  • Each email address can only have one active or pending membership per organization.

FAQ

What if the person already has a Valzotra account? They can still accept the invite. Clicking the join link connects their existing account to your organization. They can then switch between organizations using the tenant switcher.

Can I change the role after sending the invite? Yes. You can update the tenant role or property assignments from the team list, even while the invite is still pending.

What happens if I resend an invite? A new link is generated and the previous one is invalidated. The 7-day expiration resets.

Can I cancel a pending invite? Yes. Disable the pending member from the team list. This removes their invite and frees the member seat.
