Overview
You send messages to guests from the messaging section of each property. When you send a message, the guest receives an email notification so they know to check their Valzotra dashboard.
How it works
- Open the property and navigate to Messages.
- Select the guest's conversation thread (or start a new one if the guest has an active stay).
- Type your message in the compose area at the bottom of the thread.
- Click Send.
The message appears in the thread immediately. The guest receives an email notification from Valzotra containing your message. The guest can reply from their Valzotra dashboard, and their reply appears in the same thread.
You can send messages at any time during an active stay. Messages are delivered to the guest's email via Resend, Valzotra's transactional email provider.
FAQ
Does the guest need to be logged in to receive my message? No. The guest receives an email notification with your message content. They can read it in their email or log in to Valzotra to view the full thread and reply.
Can I send a message to multiple guests at once? No. Messages are sent to individual guests through their conversation threads. You need to send separate messages to each guest.
What if the guest doesn't reply? The message remains in the thread. You can send follow-up messages at any time. There is no automatic reminder system.
Can team members send messages on my behalf? Team members with access to the property can view and send messages in the property's conversation threads. Messages show the sender's name so the guest knows who is writing.
