Overview
Valzotra sends email notifications when new messages are exchanged between hosts and guests. This keeps both sides informed without requiring either party to stay logged in to the dashboard.
How it works
When a guest sends you a message:
- The message appears in the conversation thread on your dashboard.
- You receive an email notification at the address associated with your Valzotra account.
- The email includes the guest's name, the property name, and the message content.
When you send a message to a guest:
- The guest receives an email notification with your message content.
- The email includes a link to view the full conversation in their Valzotra dashboard.
Email notifications are delivered by Resend, Valzotra's transactional email provider. Delivery is typically within a few seconds.
FAQ
Can I turn off message notifications? Notification preferences can be managed from your account settings. You can choose whether to receive email notifications for new messages.
What if I don't receive a notification? Check your spam or junk folder. Notifications come from a Valzotra email address. If you consistently miss notifications, add Valzotra's sending address to your email contacts.
Do team members get notifications too? Team members with access to the property receive notifications for messages in that property's threads, depending on their notification preferences.
Are notifications sent for every message in a thread? Yes. Each new message in a thread generates a separate email notification to the recipient.
