Overview
Every message exchanged between you and a guest is preserved in the conversation thread. You can review the full history of any thread at any time, including threads from past stays.
How it works
- Open the property and navigate to Messages.
- Select a conversation thread to view the complete history.
- Messages are displayed in chronological order with timestamps and sender names.
- Scroll through the thread to review older messages.
Past stay threads remain accessible in the Messages section. Even after a guest's stay has ended, you can review the full conversation for your records.
Limits & requirements
- Message history is retained for the lifetime of your account.
- Threads from past stays are read-only — you cannot send new messages after a stay ends.
- Message history is tied to the property. If you archive a property, the message history is preserved and restored if you unarchive.
FAQ
Can I search within a message thread? You can scroll through the thread to find specific messages. Messages are displayed chronologically, with the most recent at the bottom.
How long are messages kept? Messages are retained indefinitely as part of your account data. There is no automatic deletion or expiration.
Can I delete a message I sent? Individual messages cannot be deleted. Once sent, a message is part of the permanent thread history.
Are message threads included in data exports? Message history is part of your account data. Refer to Exporting Your Data for details on what is included in exports.
