Overview

Not every booking comes from a channel. For a direct booking, a repeat guest, or a friends-and-family stay, you can add a reservation by hand. Unlike synced bookings, a reservation you enter yourself is auto-approved — it flows through your normal prep immediately.

How it works

Open Reservations and add a new reservation, choosing the property and entering the guest details (name and, when you have it, email) and the check-in and check-out dates. Because you're entering it yourself, there's no Pending Approval step: the reservation_created trigger fires right away, your host and guest checklists materialize, and — if you added a guest email — the guest portal becomes available so the guest can be invited.

If you don't have the guest's email yet, you can still create the reservation and add it later; guest checklists and the portal start working once an email is on the record.

Limits & requirements

  • Owners, admins, and managers with reservation access can add reservations.
  • Manual reservations count toward your plan's active reservation limits the same way synced ones do.

FAQ

Do manual reservations need approval like synced ones? No. Approval only exists to fill in missing details on synced bookings. Anything you enter yourself is auto-approved — see Approving synced reservations for how the synced path differs.

Can I add the guest's email after creating the reservation? Yes. Open the reservation and edit it; guest checklists and the portal begin working once an email is present.

Where do I see the booking after I add it? It appears in your Reservations list and, on its dates, on the Today dashboard.
