Overview
Guest checklists are lists you share with guests to communicate house rules, check-in instructions, safety information, or anything else you want them to review and acknowledge. They are separate from the operational checklists you use internally for cleaning and maintenance. Guest checklists appear in the guest's Valzotra dashboard, and you can track whether each guest has completed them.
How it works
- You create a guest checklist from the Guest Checklists section of a property.
- Add items to the checklist — each item can be an acknowledgment (the guest must check it off) or informational (no action required).
- Assign the checklist to a specific guest or to all guests at the property.
- The guest sees the checklist in their dashboard and works through the items.
- You monitor completion status from your dashboard to see which guests have finished which items.
Guest checklists are a good way to confirm that guests have read your house rules, understand check-in procedures, or are aware of safety equipment locations. The acknowledgment tracking gives you a record that the guest reviewed the information.
Limits & requirements
- Guest checklists are available on the Host and Portfolio plans. They are not available on the Comply plan.
- There is no limit on the number of guest checklists you can create per property.
- There is no limit on the number of items per checklist.
FAQ
How are guest checklists different from operational checklists? Operational checklists (cleaning, turnover, maintenance) are for you and your team. Guest checklists are shared with guests and focus on information the guest needs to review or acknowledge. They are managed in separate sections of the dashboard.
Do I need a specific plan? Yes. Guest checklist creation requires the Host or Portfolio plan. If you are on Comply, you need to upgrade before you can create guest checklists.
Can a guest see checklists from other guests? No. Each guest sees only the checklists assigned to them.
What happens if a guest doesn't complete a checklist? The checklist remains in their dashboard as incomplete. You can see the status from your dashboard and follow up with the guest via messaging.
