Overview
Creating a guest checklist lets you build a structured list of items for guests to review or acknowledge. You choose the property, add items, and assign the checklist to specific guests or all guests at the property.
How it works
- Navigate to Checklists in the sidebar and click New Checklist.
- Step 1 — Basics: Enter a name, select a type (e.g., check_in, check_out, general), set the audience to Guest or Both, and configure the trigger (reservation event or manual).
- Step 2 — Sections: Optionally organize the checklist into sections (e.g., "House Rules," "Safety," "Check-Out Steps"). Click Skip if you don't need sections.
- Click Create Checklist to finish. You'll land on the Steps tab.
- Add steps to the checklist. For each step, choose the type:
- Checkbox / Agreement — The guest must acknowledge or sign. Use for house rules, waivers, safety acknowledgments.
- Info — Displayed for the guest to read, no action required. Use for tips or reference information.
- Text Input / Photo Upload — The guest provides a response. Use for ID uploads, special requests.
- On the Overview tab, assign the checklist to your properties.
Once published, the checklist appears in the assigned guest's dashboard. You can edit the checklist after creation — add, remove, or reorder items as needed.
Limits & requirements
- Requires the Pro plan.
- The property must have at least one guest with an active or upcoming stay for assignment.
- There is no limit on the number of checklists per property or items per checklist.
FAQ
Can I reuse a checklist for different stays? You can assign the same checklist to multiple guests. If you want to use the same structure for future stays, you can create the checklist once and assign it to new guests as they are invited.
Can I edit a checklist after a guest has started it? Yes. You can add or modify items. If a guest has already acknowledged an item that you then change, their acknowledgment status for that item may reset depending on the nature of the change.
Can I assign different checklists to different guests at the same property? Yes. You can create multiple checklists and assign each one to specific guests. A guest at your property might receive one checklist for house rules and a separate one for pool safety, for example.
What happens if I delete a checklist? The checklist is removed from the guest's dashboard. Any acknowledgment records are preserved in your historical data.
