Overview
After connecting bank accounts through Plaid, you can manage them from the Compliance > Banking page. This includes syncing new transactions, changing property assignments, and disconnecting accounts you no longer need.

You can also access connected accounts from the Financials tab on any property detail page.
How it works
Viewing connected accounts
Go to Compliance > Banking to see all connected accounts. Each account shows:
- Institution and account -- bank name, last 4 digits, account type (checking, savings, credit)
- Status badge -- Active (green), Error (red), or Pending (gray)
- Last synced -- when transactions were last pulled from the bank
- Property -- which property the account is assigned to
Syncing transactions
Transactions sync automatically in the background. To trigger a manual sync:
- Go to Compliance > Banking.
- Find the account you want to sync.
- Click Sync Now.
Manual syncs have a 15-minute cooldown between requests. If you just synced, wait before trying again.
You can also sync from the Financials tab on a property detail page, which shows only the accounts connected to that property.
Changing property assignment
If you assigned an account to the wrong property, or want to move it:
- Go to Compliance > Banking.
- Find the account.
- Use the Property dropdown to select a different property (or "No property assigned").
- The change takes effect immediately. Future imported transactions will be tagged with the new property. Existing staged transactions keep their original property assignment.
Disconnecting an account
- Go to Compliance > Banking.
- Click Disconnect on the account.
- Confirm the action.
What happens when you disconnect:
- The Plaid connection is revoked -- no more transactions will be imported.
- The access token is cleared from ArrivHQ.
- Existing approved expenses and revenue entries are not affected.
- Pending (unapproved) staged transactions remain in the review queue and can still be approved or dismissed.
- The account appears in a "Disconnected" section at the bottom of the page.
Reconnecting an account
If you disconnected an account and want to reconnect it, click + Connect Account and go through the connection flow again. ArrivHQ will not import duplicate transactions for dates already covered by the previous connection.
Error states
If an account shows a red "Error" badge, the connection may have expired or the bank may require re-authentication. Common causes:
- Your bank password changed
- The bank requires multi-factor authentication that was not completed
- The bank temporarily blocked third-party access
To fix most errors, disconnect the account and reconnect it through the Plaid widget.
Limits & requirements
- Requires the Host plan ($34/mo) or higher.
- Up to 3 active accounts per property.
- Disconnected accounts do not count toward the limit.
- Manual sync cooldown: 15 minutes between requests per account.
- Property changes apply to future imports only, not existing staged transactions.
FAQ
Can I see which accounts are connected to a specific property?
Yes. Open the property and go to the Financials tab, then click the Bank Sync pill. Only accounts assigned to that property are shown.
What happens to my data if I downgrade from Host to Comply?
Existing expenses and revenue entries created through bank sync remain in your records. However, you will not be able to connect new accounts, sync transactions, or approve pending imports. Your Plaid connections are not automatically disconnected -- they remain in a paused state.
Can I connect accounts from different banks?
Yes. Each connection is independent. You can connect accounts from multiple banks across different properties.
How do I revoke Plaid access entirely?
Go to Settings > Privacy. Revoke the "Plaid data access" consent. This immediately disconnects all linked accounts and prevents any future connections until you re-consent.
Is there a way to see all transactions across all properties?
Yes. The Financials > Bank Sync page shows all imported transactions from all properties. Use the property filter to narrow down to a specific property.
