Overview
The Property → Access Settings panel is where you configure the access slots for one property. Slots are the per-device credentials — front door, garage, gate, Wi-Fi, alarm — that show up in every pack generated for that property.
You set this up once per property. After that, packs are generated automatically as reservations come in.
How it works
Adding a slot
- Open the property and click Access Settings.
- Click Add slot.
- Pick a provider:
- Manual — you enter the code yourself
- Igloohome — connect a smart lock via OAuth (beta)
- Coming soon — additional smart-lock providers
- Set the label your guests will see ("Front door," "Garage keypad," "Wi-Fi").
- Pick the audience: guest, cleaner, maintenance, or all.
- Pick the rotation policy: every reservation, every 7 days, every 30 days, or on-demand only.
- Save. The slot is live for the next pack generation.
Connecting Igloohome
Igloohome uses OAuth client credentials. From the slot editor, click Connect Igloohome, paste the client ID and client secret from your Igloohome partner account, and confirm. Tokens are cached for 24 hours and auto-refresh. The integration is per-tenant — one connection covers every Igloohome lock in your portfolio.
Editing slots
Click any slot to edit. Changing the rotation policy applies to future packs only; in-flight packs keep their current cadence. Changing the audience takes effect on the next pack regeneration. Deleting a slot stops new packs from including it; old packs are unchanged.
What guests see
Slots with audience guest or all show up in the consolidated Access card on the guest stay portal. See access-code for the guest view.
Limits and requirements
- Plan: All plans can configure manual slots. Smart-lock providers are gated to Host and Portfolio.
- Slot count: No hard limit, but plan caps may apply to total active codes across your portfolio.
- Provider quotas: Igloohome enforces its own API rate limits; we cache and back off automatically.
FAQ
Can I move slots between properties?
No — slots are tied to one property. If you re-target a smart lock to a different property, delete the slot on the old property and create a new one on the new property.
What does on-demand rotation mean?
Codes don't rotate on a schedule. You rotate manually from the Reservation Access page when you want. Good for owner-only stays or properties where you set codes by hand each time.
Why doesn't my Igloohome connection appear?
Either the client credentials are wrong (re-enter from the Igloohome partner portal), or your subscription on Igloohome's side has lapsed. See troubleshooting.
Can I see who sees what?
Yes. Each slot's audience determines which pack it appears in. A guest pack never includes maintenance-only slots, and vice versa. The Property Access Settings panel shows audience per slot.
